Who are we?

Let’s put some faces behind the name. Melling Motorhomes was founded in 2019 by John and Kelly Todd. 

With our love for travel, camping, and road trips, we decided to start our own motorhome rental company, offering affordable and luxurious motorhomes to customers in the UK. 

We’re located in the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. Just an 8 minute drive from Junction 36 off the M6, you can pick up your vehicle and begin your journey straight away, driving to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or further afield to Scotland or the South Coast.

We don’t just offer motor home hire; we provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

With the help and support of a small team behind the scenes, we’ve grown from just one to over twenty​​ Motorhomes for 2025, ranging from 2-berth compacts up to 4, 5​, and 6-berth luxury coach-built motorhomes.

As soon as you’ve selected your chosen available dates, you can fill out the booking form or contact us to confirm your rental. 

We require a non-refundable deposit, and drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 75 with a valid driver’s licence to hire a motorhome.
